It was normal in our family to feel inferior or have a lack of self confidence, so when I was asked to a social occasion where guests rather daunted me, I mentioned my concerns to a very close friend.
To my total amazement, her reply was. “Don’t be such a judgmental cow!”
On reflection I realised she was totally right. By judging people above me, meant that I (without realising it) judged others below me. Now I take people for exactly who they are. That one sentence from a very dear friend entirely changed my attitude and perception on life.
